Amesbury Junior Police Community Support Officer scheme
5th May 2012 at the Bowman Centre, Amesbury
After several months of planning, Wiltshire Police, Radian and Amesbury Town Council launched the Junior PCSO Scheme on Saturday the 5th May 2012 at the Bowman Centre in Amesbury, Wiltshire.
Although the weather could have been warmer the sun did shine and we didn’t see any rain which allowed the community to enjoy this event. The day was a great success and about 10 children have signed up to the Junior P.C.S.O Scheme which starts in June.
There are many people who we must thank:
Wiltshire Police
M.O.D Police
Wiltshire Fire Brigade
St Johns Ambulance
BBC Radio Wiltshire
The Breeze / Jack FM
BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Service
A young Radian resident from Salisbury called Hayden
The scheme will be run over a period of four weeks between 5pm and 7pm starting on the 13th June and the activities that the children are likely to be involved in are those which will benefit the wider community. At then of the scheme there will be a social event where. Please ensure that if your child is involved they bring food and drink with them.
