It’s a phrase that probably many of us have used over the years when describing our culinary skills, however help is at hand with a set of cookery workshops which begin on the 15TH MARCH 2012!
Following the success of the workshops that were held at Beaufort Park, Bournemouth in 2011, Radian along with Raglan and the Spectrum Group have again teamed up with the ‘The Teaching and Learning Company’ to run another set of workshops for residents in Winton. The workshops will run for six weeks and are designed to teach residents a variety of skills, from how to shop and cook on a low income to what makes a good chocolate pudding. It’s also a great way for residents to get to know others who live close by. Tony is being assisted by Dave and Julie, two Raglan residents and Toni and Amber who attended previous courses. They benefited so much from it, they have returned to help Tony.
The workshops will be held at The Winton YMCA, Jameson Road, Bournemouth and will run for six weeks on a Thursday morning between 10:30am and 1pm starting on the 15th March 2012. This course is completely free and costs towards childcare and transport can be provided. If you would like to take part in the cookery workshops please contact Matthew Barton – Community Development Officer (Avon) on 01425 485677.
